In August 23, TBC STATUS presented an exclusive fair of Pokani’s Jewelry and parish works in Batumi TBC Gallery.
Specially for the customers of TBC STATUS and for the wider society unique works from Pokani collection were presented: golden artwork made with the newest technology, jewelry of modern design, accessories decorated with enamel, porcelain and mosaic. The first ever copy of Ekaterine Chavchavadze’s earring was also exhibited. This was unique piece of jewelry from the house of Dadiani with interesting history...it is known that Ekaterine’s earring inspired Nikoloz Batarashvili to write his very famouse poem “Earring”.
Works of Pokani are mainly inspired by the ornaments collected in the work “Genesis of Georgian Ornament” by David Kakabadze. Confluence of Georgian gold-smith traditions and modern technologies is what makes Pokani jewelry unique.
On June 8 in TBC Gallery TBC Bank and the mayor of Batumi organized a photo exhibition named “Georgians in Ottoman Empire”. Photos of the lives of prominent Georgian people living in Turkey in XIX –XX centuries and short notes on their biography were exposed.
On May 4 TBC Gallery hosted an event “Let’s paint the spring together”. Famous Georgian artists Gia Gugushvili and Keti Matabeli together with the students from St. Matata Gymnasium painted a huge panel in the gallery. Chairman of TBC Bank’s supervisory board, Mamuka Khazaradze and Georgian and foreigner shareholders of TBC Bank participated in this activity.
On 17th of April the works of the winners of public and private school students’ competition “Free Color” were exhibited. A special prize was awarded for the nomination of TBC color.
On 6th of February TBC gallery hosted the exhibition-sale of Keti Matabeli’s illustrated books on the theme “Knight in the Tiger skin”, also her other works were exhibited in the gallery.
